Description Hanging Alarm Clock
Are you a notorious late sleeper and alarm clock ignorer? The hanging alarm clock forces you to get up because it moves away from your bed – upwards!
The Hanging Alarm Clock hangs on a cord that can be attached to the ceiling with a hook. In its normal state, it is easily reachable, but at wake-up time, the cord is wound up inside the ball, causing the alarm clock to climb towards the ceiling! Its appearance is deliberately reminiscent of a time bomb – hesitate a moment too long and the alarm clock will be out of reach, making getting up unavoidable.
The rest of the Hanging Alarm Clock's behavior also spreads panic: The alarm sound is a loud siren paired with stomping noises like those of a steam locomotive. Additionally, a bright flashing light robs you of sleep.
The Hanging Alarm Clock takes about half a minute to ascend to the ceiling. Once it reaches the top, the cord is unwound, the alarm clock falls down, and you get a new chance to reach its stop button.
The alarm clock also has a snooze function, allowing you to vent your frustration over the early wake-up: A small tap brings it to rest for 4 minutes and makes it stay put. After that, the alarm sound and ascent start again.
The alarm clock's cord is 90 cm long and has a ring at the end. Additionally, a metal hook with a thread is included. The hanging alarm clock measures 11 cm in diameter, and the display is 5x2 cm in size. It requires three AA batteries, which are not included. You need a Phillips screwdriver to insert them.
